FAQs

Some Common Questions

With HBAR we send to a Hedera account ID, something like 0.0.123456 (yours will be something different but the same format). We recommend testing with small amounts first. If you are transferring from an exchange we recommend: 1. Create or restore a Hedera Account in Wallawallet 2. Withdraw a small amount from the exchange to that Hedera Account ID, 2 HBAR should be plenty 3. Enable ‘Advanced’ in Settings and then create a second Hedera Account in Wallawallet 4. Send 1 HBAR from the first account to the second within Wallawallet. Being able to SEND is very important to check. 5. As long as everything worked, you should be ready to move any larger sums of HBAR. Following the above steps takes longer but it will insure that you are in proper control of your Hedera accounts. Always be careful with your cryptocurrency.
Swipe down on the transactions page to refresh and get the latest information. Be aware that if your account is staked, any change in the balance of your account will trigger a staking rewards payout, and the transactions may not look like you would expect because the staking rewards payouts can make it confusing. If you don’t see your transaction, or see a transaction that doesn’t make sense, remember the staking rewards payouts, and check a mirror node such as Hashscan.io to verify. Exchanges can take as much as 24 hours to clear a transaction, so even though Hedera is fast, your exchange may not be. If you still need assistance with a transaction, feel free to reach out to us for support.
No, you DO NOT need a memo when sending into Wallawallet. Memo’s are often used by exchanges because they help the exchange route your transaction, but this is not needed for sending into Wallawallet.
Wallawallet does not support the selling of tokens at this time but this should be coming soon in a future update.
Biometrics are required to use Wallawallet and if they get changed, like when you get a new phone or add or change your biometrics, the wallet data becomes corrupted for security purposes and requires the Wallawallet app be reinstalled and any accounts restored. Please make sure biometrics are properly set up. If you made changes to your biometrics you will need to delete and reinstall Wallawallet and restore any accounts that may have been made.
The Wallawallet team knows this a hugely important feature. Serious technical challenges have slowed our progress but we plan to support a wallet connect feature by the end of Summer ‘23.
