Associating Tokens for Upcoming Airdrops in Wallawallet
Learn about upcoming, curated Hedera-ecosystem airdrops courtesy of The HBAR Bull and associate those tokens easily in Wallawallet!
You could associate your tokens the old-fashioned way to prepare for an upcoming airdrop, by browsing to the associate tokens screen in Wallawallet and typing the token id in, one digit at a time. Or you could just go to the new “Upcoming Airdrops” screen, accessible from the Associate Token screen, hope the airdrop you are expecting is listed there and then click on each token you may need to associate, swipe and you’re done! Brandon (the HBAR Bull), one of our advisors, has agreed to curate the list of upcoming airdrops for us, and if you know Brandon or have followed his weekly HBAR Bull YouTube videos on Hedera ecosystem news, you know you can depend on him to list the most important tokens in the ecosystem. We do not yet have a notification in place for airdrops so you can keep current, so for now it’s important to keep yourself notified – by either checking Wallawallet’s Upcoming Airdrops screen or checking out The HBAR Bull’s weekly video Hedera ecosystem updates regularly.
If there are no ongoing airdrop campaigns at the moment, you will not see the Upcoming Airdrops button. But, if you’re lucky, you will see it!
Brandon is the genius behind the HBAR-weighted Airdrop, which was first implemented in a recent airdrop by the Earthlings team, which he also advises. Simply, the more HBAR you have in your account to which the incoming airdropped token is associated, the more of that token you will receive!
As an early investor myself in Hedera HBAR tokens, and one who wholeheartedly agrees with Brandon that we need to do all we can to look out for each other in the community, especially through dark times when the Hedera council has curiously decided to reduce their staking rewards from 6.5% all the way down to the current value of 0.4% in the middle of a bear market, I just had to get this feature into Wallawallet sooner than later. I love the idea. You will see an “h-weighted” indicator by any HBAR-weighted airdrops.
